Welcome, Testers

You are testing HVAC Vault before launch. Use it like a normal workday and tell us where it fights you. Scan the code to open the app, then work down the list below — the top section matters most.

The core loop

Test these first, every session you use the app.

Create a new account, test forgot-password, then close the app fully and reopen — you should still be signed in.

Scan a data plate

Photograph real equipment: indoors, outside, in glare, on worn plates. Check the result loads correctly and saves.

Ask the AI about a unit

After a scan, ask follow-up questions and attach a photo. The answer should match the unit you scanned.

Field log

Open a past scan, add a note, and confirm it is still there the next day.

Part finder

Scan a part label or search by name. Check the suppliers and prices shown make sense for your area.

Parts & pricing

Report a price and browse prices for your region.

Voice input & spoken replies

Tap the mic in unit chat and speak a question. Try hands-free mode. Report anything that fails silently.

Wiring diagram

Upload a diagram photo and ask about it.

Community & account

Click through and report anything broken.

Community — post, reply, react, and post a photo
Profile & directory — set specialties, connect, message someone
Weekly recap — take the quiz if it appears
Click through everything else (jobs, news, certifications, help) and flag dead ends

What we especially need reported

Crashes — tell us what you tapped right before (especially camera, mic, photo upload)
Anything slow — more than a few seconds of waiting with no spinner
Push notifications — did they arrive, and did tapping open the right screen?
Battery or data drain after a heavy scanning day
Anything confusing — "I didn't know what this button did" counts as a bug

Rule of thumb

If you would stop using the app because of it, flag it. One sentence is enough — we do not need formal bug reports. Send anything you find to us through the Help section inside the app, or reply to the invite email.
