How does the Data Plate Scanner work?
Snap a clear photo of any unit's nameplate and the app reads specs (model, serial, refrigerant, tonnage, voltage, MCA/MOP, SEER) with AI, then lets you ask follow-up questions about that unit.
Is HVAC Vault free?
Yes — scanning, pricing, community, job feeds, and training content are all free for HVAC/R tradespeople.
Who is HVAC Vault for?
HVAC/R professionals — apprentices, journeymen, and veterans across residential, commercial, industrial, refrigeration, and controls. It is not a homeowner/DIY app.
