Liability & Disclaimer

Last updated: October 22, 2026

HVAC/R work involves serious hazards — electrical shock, high-pressure systems, and refrigerants that can cause injury or death. Nothing on this platform replaces proper training, licensing, and safety procedures.

This disclaimer applies to your use of the HVAC Vault mobile and web application (the "Service"), including all tools, AI features, community content, and reference material. By using the Service, you accept this disclaimer in full.

1. No Professional Advice

Content on HVAC Vault — including AI-generated responses, diagnostic guidance, wiring diagram analysis, part identification, and community posts — is provided for general informational and educational purposes only. It does not constitute professional, engineering, legal, or code-compliance advice. Always verify information against manufacturer documentation and applicable codes, and consult a licensed professional before performing any work.

2. AI-Generated Content

AI features on HVAC Vault (data plate scanning, unit chat, part identification, wiring diagram analysis, voice input and spoken replies, and others) may produce inaccurate, incomplete, or misleading output. Voice transcription may mis-hear spoken questions, and spoken AI replies may be truncated or read only part of the full answer. AI responses are estimates and must be independently verified by a qualified technician before being relied upon — especially when spoken, since you may not be reading them on a screen. You assume all risk for acting on AI-generated content.

3. User-Submitted Content

Community posts, comments, part prices, job listings, and other member-submitted content are not independently verified by HVAC Vault and reflect the views of their authors, not of HVAC Vault. We make no representation as to the accuracy, completeness, or safety of any user-submitted content, including crowd-sourced part and pricing data.

4. Limitation of Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, HVAC Vault and its affiliates will not be liable for any direct, indirect, incidental, consequential, or punitive damages — including personal injury, property damage, equipment damage, lost profits, or business interruption — arising from or related to your use of the Service or reliance on any content within it. You use the Service entirely at your own risk.

5. Compliance & Safety

You are solely responsible for complying with all applicable federal, state, and local laws, regulations, and codes (including EPA refrigerant handling regulations, the NEC, and applicable mechanical and building codes) and for following manufacturer specifications and industry-standard safety practices when performing any work.

6. External Links

The Service may contain links to third-party websites, suppliers, or resources. HVAC Vault is not responsible for the content, accuracy, or availability of any third-party site and does not endorse products or services offered there.

7. No Warranty

The Service and all content are provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, accuracy, or non-infringement.
